At the Global Youth Workers Conference (GYWC) 2025, the Youth Arise Organization (YAO) officially launched a Youth Workers Multi-stakeholder Platform. The initiative was designed to strengthen youth work in Ghana and globally by connecting professionals, organizations, and stakeholders in a single collaborative space.
Why a Multi-stakeholder Platform Matters
Youth work is most impactful when organizations work together. This platform will:
- Connect youth workers across Ghana and beyond.
- Provide a space for sharing resources and training opportunities.
- Strengthen advocacy for youth policies at local, national, and global levels.
- Encourage collaboration instead of duplication of efforts.
The platform will not only connect youth workers in Ghana but also provide opportunities to learn from global best practices. By joining, youth organizations can access training modules, mentorship opportunities, and advocacy toolkits designed to strengthen youth engagement. This makes Ghana one of the first African countries to establish such a structured space for youth work collaboration
The Role of YAO in Youth Work
The launch highlights YAO’s commitment to building systems that ensure youth work is recognized, professionalized, and sustainable. This aligns with other calls from GYWC 2025, such as Peter Anum’s call for youth work collaboration.
Connecting Youth Workers Across Ghana and Beyond
By providing a platform where youth workers, NGOs, and policymakers can engage, YAO is helping to shape a stronger, unified voice for the youth work profession. This step also reflects a key theme in the GYWC 2025 highlights: that youth work is about building partnerships to multiply impact.
The Youth Workers Multi-stakeholder Platform is a milestone for the profession in Ghana and beyond. As YAO’s Global CEO emphasized in his call to commit to raising generations, youth workers cannot work in isolation. This new platform is a space to connect, collaborate, and grow together.
